Firefighter Stephen Klick retired on July 1, 2009 after serving for more than 37 years. Firefighter Klick began his firefighting career on May 1, 1972. Firefighter Klick was considered one of the department’s most highly skilled pump operators.
District Chief Steve Longaecker retired on July 1, 2009 after serving for more than 33 years. District Chief Longaecker served as a Firefighter, Captain and then District Chief for the remainder of his career. District Chief Longaecker was in-charge of Station 2. District Chief Longaecker was considered a skilled incident commander, providing strong, confident leadership during critical incidents. 
Both of these individuals served with commitment that never wavered during their careers, until the day of their retirements Firefighter Klick and District Chief Longaecker continued to work in service to others with compassion. We thank them for their service!
